Australia's The Oaks Airfield Scenery Enhancement Files for FS2004
==================================================================

Description:
-----------

The Oaks Airfield is south west of Sydney and is the home of Ultralight flying
for Sydney enthusiasts and is a hive of activity most weekends. A number of
ultralight flying clubs use the airfield as well as some GA aircraft. I got a
"fix" on the Lat(S34* 05.13')/Lon(E150* 33.47') and altitude of 900ft using one
of the Sydney Ultralight Flying Club member's GPS.

I have used the very good "Flight Simulator Scenery Creator" program by
Derek Leung (using Manfred Moldenhaur's SCASM compiler)for this series of
scenery as I find it very quick and easy to create scenery which fits into the
new terrain of FS2004. I have compiled some static scenery (aprons, taxiways,
buildings, etc...), but have not included too much so as to keep the frame-rate
down and the flying experience more realistic.

I have also included a "fictional" AFCAD2 file which will make the airfield show up in fs9
and so you will have the ability to create flightplans to and from the airfield.

I have not included some default textures - every other texture should be there, but of course
if you have any probs send me an email.

Keep an eye on the "last updated" field on my web page for the latest files.

LEGAL NOTE:
My files are freely distributable as long as they not modified in any
way (including this text) and under no circumstances should anyone be
charged for using them.

Installation of the files:
-------------------------

*A) If you are using Winzip or similar you can simply extract to your FS2004 folder, and it will
extract the files into the correct places - provided you make sure "use folder names" is ticked!

- Otherwise, this is the breakdown of where the files have to be placed:

1. The scenery .bgl files have to be placed into the scenery sub-directory of your folder called "TheOaks" or similar:

FS2004\
Addon Scenery\
TheOaks\
Scenery\(*.bgl)

2. All of the texture files should be placed into the main FS2004 texture folder:

FS2004\
Texture\(*.r8, *.bmp, etc)

3. Extract the AF2_YSTO.bgl AFCAD2 file to:

FS2004\
Addon Scenery\
Scenery\AF2_YSTO.bgl

4. The scenery picture *.jpg files and this text file can be placed into the folder called "TheOaks" or similar:

FS2004\
Addon Scenery\
TheOaks\(Pics & this file)

*B) Finally, click on FS2004's Settings button, then click Scenery Library|Add and navigate to the scenery.

Set your priority by moving down below any other scenery which you want to have priority.

Click OK button to save and exit FS2004. When you restart you will be able to fly to the new airport!

REMEMBER: If you don't have all the texture files installed, you wont be able to see the macros of buildings,
aircraft etc... correctly!

Please send me any comments or suggestions you may have, but above all - Have Fun!

Cheers,
Mark Dickinson.
